Hey fireflies! Hope you all are glowing on and happy!
Today I have decided to talk about a DROOL-TASTIC tea favourite that is mood altering, memories in the form of photos, and how to put these two amazing things together to create an ultra relaxing, heart melting night, even BEFORE the wine and Netflix! All you need is 3 things!
1) Tea - Make yourself a cup of tea that has natural calming and relaxing properties. I usually use "Tranquil dream" from my local Teavana. It is just the most amazing tea when you want to relax and put your mind and body at ease. I also love to drink it after work. It is kind of liking having a beer to chill you out, but just fruity without the bitter/sour hint usually accompanied with beer!
2) Photos - while the water for the tea is boiling, break out the ancient albums. For those of you who have a collection of old photos of yourselves, family and friends, take them all out ASAP. Go deep and find photos you have not looked at in years. For you fireflies who do not have any photos, I strongly recommend starting the photo capturing process now. Taking photos doesn't require you to spend a lot of money either if you are on a budget! You can easily use disposable cameras and then develop the pictures! Get creative and see what lengths you can get your photos to using a disposable. You could surprise yourself! After a few years, looking back, you will thank yourself for starting to capture all those memories.
3) Comfy place - go to your favourite comfortable place and get situated. I usually prefer to do this with my legs up on a bed or couch, just to be extra comfy. Don't forget to set up your favourite pillows and covers for extra cloudy comfort! Your tea should be finished infusing by now and ready to pour into whatever mug that fits the mood. Make sure your tea has had time to cool, before carrying it anywhere. Safety always!
Now that you have all 3 elements of this amazing night, sit back, get comfortable, sip that relaxing tea, and just laugh and reminisce with your old memories in hand. These days, we all tend to look back a pictures saved electronically in our phones. These pictures in our phones however, are usually only around 4 years old since people get new phones every 2 years or so now. When I say "photos," i'm talking about those old dusty developed stacks or those old creaky albums tucked away in your attic.
Try it out and let me know what you think by going to the "fireflies" section of the blog and leaving a comment about your experience and what type of future blog posts would be firefly-tastic!! :) Also don't forget to join the Ayapapaya mailing list for updates on future posts that you don't want to miss! Peace, love and rainbow sparkles for now! - Aya
